Manager Mode
SCORB allows working with users in two ways: Centralized Mode and Decentralized Mode.
Centralized Mode is typically used by companies that prefer to have key users handle the entire budgeting process. In this setup, the key user can input the baseline data and, using information collected from their managers or BPs, quickly perform data loads to generate the budget scenario.
Information such as merit increases, promotions, terminations, cost center changes, and new positions can be easily loaded through customized bulk uploads by the key user, avoiding repetitive work.
In Decentralized Mode, the company allows other users, such as managers or BPs, to be responsible for updating budget data. The key user can create a scenario with initial data (baseline) and, through specific permissions, allow managers/BPs to access and update the data. This collaborative approach simplifies the budgeting process and fosters accountability among all participants.
Therefore, SCORB provides a customized way to define forms to grant controlled access to managers, allowing them to perform specific tasks. Actions like merit and promotion can be initiated via custom buttons. Similarly, managers can access data lists with specific fields and columns containing details pulled from the database or calculated as needed.
With permissions, managers can access only the employees/positions they are entitled to. Key users and managers can compare scenarios through reports and assess the impact of variations.
